Shabu Showcases New Gluten Free Menu
Park City, Utah – January 4, 2013– Shabu, a locally owned, critically acclaimed Asian fusion restaurant in the heart of Park City, has formally announced its new winter gluten-free menu. This season’s menu blends Chef Bob Valaika’s unconventional approach to traditional Asian cuisine with enough excellent gluten-free options to warrant a separate, full-length gluten-free menu.
Already well known for popular dishes including sushi, Shabu Shabu hot pots, and creative sake-tinis, Shabu sought to create a full range of gluten-free items.
“We wanted every item on our gluten-free menu to be so fantastic and unique that anyone—not just gluten-free diners—would want to order from it,” explained Chef Valaika. So he crafted a variety of innovative small plates, large plates and sides that would tempt anyone who makes their way into this Main Street enclave—let alone those who specifically seek gluten-free options.
The chef recommends his Miso-Glazed Black Cod with buckwheat egg foo yong, Samurai Scallops, and Chilled Thai Melon Soup … but the ski-weary diner would be hard-pressed to find anything less than outstanding.

Shabu welcomes Rosanne Ruiz
We are excited to welcome Rosanne Ruiz to Shabu. Rosanne, an experienced chef and restaurant owner, is taking over the dessert making at Shabu. She has won numerous awards both in her hometown of California and here in Utah. We are happy to have her back in Park City creating some delicious confections.
